We realize that there are many audio-video contractors. Metro Audio Video is determined to be different than the rest. The design and installation of a Metro system is not a job to us, it's our passion. We love what we do and it shows. Our History
Metro's roots in the design/install business go back more than thirty years. While managing a retail outlet for a large central Ohio music store chain, Metro co-owner Ed Whitney saw an increasing need for concert quality audio installations in local schools and churches as trends in music and the technology that drove those changes evolved rapidly. After running the American Audio division for his employer and installing literally hundreds of audio systems throughout Ohio, Ed and a business partner launched out into their own succesful music retail/design install venture in 1995. After a sharp decline in the retail business due to competition from internet distributors as well as major national music store chains, Ed and his new business partner, Mike Hockenberry, launched Metro Audio Video in Spring of 2005, focusing all of their attention on what they do best: system design/installation. Mike and Ed have over 50 years of combined audio, video, and lighting installation experience.
